Instruction Sheets

This site is intended to provide brief instructions for my quilts and they assume you have a basic knowledge of quilting.

Because my quilts are scrappy and made from stash, fabric yardage calculations for most of my quilt instructions are not  available and when included, they are estimates only – click here for more information. I am unable to resize quilts to meet individual needs, I get too many requests and I’m too busy quilting!

Most of the instruction sheets are PDF files which can be opened with the free program Adobe Reader. If you have problems opening the files, please make sure you’ve downloaded the most recent version of Reader. If you still have problems downloading the file directly from the site, please RIGHT click on the link and save it to your computer – then open the saved file. If you’ve tried to save the file and it still won’t open, you can email me at the address below and I will send you the file by email.

Many of these quilts have been made for the HeartStrings Quilt Project. Please feel free to visit our website and find out how you can participate in making and donating HeartStrings quilts.

Feel free to email me at : with any questions.

  • I have a pattern of yours…MY FAVORITE QUICK DONATION QUILT….bot only have the first page. Are there directions on how to put the quilt together?

  • I would love to get the pattern for Strips and Strings Log Cabin Nativity. I have tried to download the pattern and can’t get it. It’s on the web hope you can help me get the pattern.

Thank you so much for the patterns! What a perfect way to use up leftover fabric!

I am so glad I found your site. I was beginning to think that the only quilt patterns that were still out there were for strip quilting and cutting with a rotary cutter. I love to have an old fashioned template. Thanks for so many pretty patterns.

  • GranRox:

Thank you very much for providing the down-loadable patterns.

  • TxQuilter:

Hi Mary! Thanks for sharing your great patterns with us … I’d like to make your newest one, 5 Stars … is there a PDF for it ? I don’t see a link for it ?
    Thanks again

You are a godsend. Thank you for sharing this.

  • Carole:

Thanks for all the inspiration. Wish I’d found this site sooner. Your Quick Strippie would have been a much better choice for a quilt I just finished.

  • Kertrud:

Thank you for inspiration, instructions, and — pure joy for my eyes!

  • I love your website, it is awesome–but last month I found the most adorable quilt pattern featuring darling “little girl houses”. The houses had curved lines, etc. It might have been a My Neighborhood, block of the month ?? I put the web address in my favorites, but it no longer works. I bought fabric for it today—and now I can’t find your pattern. Please help.
