My quilt in progress

This is the 30′s version Mom made

Another option is to go completely scrappy rather than alternating the light and dark blocks.

Really cute pattern. I love doing scrappy quilts with left over material. Thanks for the pattern.

  2. Mary, Thank you so much for sharing this pattern I just love it. I made it scrappy out of odds & ends of fat quarters I have wanted to use up and it really made a pretty quilt. I think I will try it in shades of blue next time.

Thanks for the great pattern. I have been looking for a pattern to make using fabric squares and this will work nicely. I will be using it for an “I Spy” quilt for my new newphew for his first single bed. I will be a riot of differnt fabrics and colour. Thanks for the idea!

Mary, Thanks so much for these instructions. I have several old BOM’s from Thimbleberries that I never made – and now don’t want to make. I was wondering what I could do and love scrappy quilts — so I’ll use that fabric to make this at a retreat I’m attending in August. Thanks for solving my “what am I gonna do” dilemna!
